Cornell Department of Art Home Test — Home Test 6: A piece inspired by an artwork that changed my life

An artwork that changed my life is Le Centaure incertain by Marc Desgrandchamps. The style of art this artist uses by playing with the transparency of layers, and the ambiguous themes and happenings of the artwork inspired me in many ways and opened me up to a new style of art. I find myself getting inspiration and staring at this artwork very often. With my piece, I tried the incorporate the aspect of having parts cut out and transparent. I also added my own touch to it by using vibrant colors that I enjoy using. Through this work, I want to tell a story that highlights how brief moments, like biking, may seem insignificant at the time but can gain meaning and hold lasting significance when revisited as memories.
