Unspoken Traces

I created a rubbing using familiar objects I found around my room, layering the textures onto paper with a pencil to form parts of my face. I visually expressed words and sounds from my mouth, representing the unseen thoughts or emotions I wanted to express but often kept inside. I find rubbing similar to how unspoken ideas or feelings can come out when moved by someone else. Rubbing can be irritating, but it can uncover and clarify what lies beneath it.
